Born in Michigan and raised in Kansas, Rob is a true Mid-Western boy. Having begun his career studying theatre and German at Wabash College in Indiana, he then went onto MFA Theatre Directing program at UCLA which eventually led him to use his German and continue to study his craft of directing with an internship at the infamous Berliner Ensemble, in Berlin. After directing several productions of his own in Germany, Robert decided to return to acting by starting with a stint of study at the Royal National Theatre of London. From 2004-2007 Robert made his way into the hearts of many a housewife and teenager, by starring on Germany's most famous daily soap: "Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten" as Vincent Buhr; the quirky South African heart-breaker. Today, he continues his work as an actor in film, television, and theatre while also maintaining his career as a director of theatre and television- most recently, completing 15 episodes of the hugely successful daily soap: "Unter Uns" in 2007.
